Sleight of Hand
Role
—
Art Director and Design
Year — 2018
The agency BWM Dentsu invited us at Pixel to pitch on a great creative brief - Sleight of hands. We were pretty excited by all of the elements, and the challenge to bring it alive.
Working closely with Goldy, who was the director and is also a master of sleight hand trickery, my role was to develop the look and feel. The design was based on a warm infinite desert springs environment. I designed the CG set extension with beautifully art directed structures. The CG set extension was designed to look almost magical, surreal and boundless, with the idea that the walls and structures could be rearranged to create any space of shape desired. We then tied up the live action with the set extension in post production.
The well planned pre-production, which I was heavily involved in, was vital in making the shoot work as well as the final delivery.
